SM64DS Multiplayer 1.1 Release! 1 2 3 »

Probably not the kind of multiplayer people expected, but anyhow, here it is! Full-game SM64DS in multiplayer, the catch being that it must be played on the one DS system. Unfortunately, there is no means to debug or even emulate DS wireless communications, so that is out of the question I'm afraid. Anyhow, I think I've done quite a good job of making the controls feel natural, so I think people will get a fair bit of fun out of this one way or another.

Download 1.1

Version 1.1:
*Fixed throwing Bowser
*Can ground pound while flying
*Camera follows both players while swimming and flying
*Underwater shells are grabbed automatically and released with L/R
*Fixed Player 2 spawn overlapping Player 1 in certain stages
*All rooms are always visible (i.e. Inside Castle, Big Boo's Haunt)
*Fixed duplicate messages after collecting stars
*Fixed grabbing keys for Player 2
*Fixed controllers sometimes switching (hopefully)
*Doors and star doors work for Player 2

Version 1.0:
*Initial release
*Credit to Quasmok for the game icon

You never cease to amaze me. Thank you for this.

Could make a patch we can apply to any hack? Another Super Mario 3D Multiplayer would be nice!

WOAW excellent ... thanks a lot for this hard work Big Grin

While this is amazing, I still feel this can be implemented better.

SM64 Multiplayer started like this too. All we can do is sit and wait for updates.
THANK YOU FOR RELEASING ME.

This is cool. The thing that I wanted in the future is add two buttons (jump and attack) at the touch screen. This feature helps a lot (maybe) (for some people might have problems with this [especially when using an emulator] but it's ok if don't you add this feature). But amazing hack to give this multiplayer feature. You still make me surprise along with other SM64DS romhackers or something.

Thanks for making this Skel, I was wondering though why you didn't make it so 1 player uses the touchscreen to move and the other uses the dpad?

mirrors? Mediafire's not an option for me.

Yes, the better version of Super Mario 64 has a multi-player hack now :3
