A major update of the SM64 Editor is released today, you can find a full list of changes here.
Some of the more noteworthy additions include transparent textures, MK64 music editing, and seamless background importing.

The voices aren't midi, only the songs are.
The voices are mono .wav files. You can edit them with N64SoundTool.
