I've been screwing around with hacking The Thousand-Year Door and so I've been using gcrebuilder along with jackoalan's custom-build of Audacity to modify the .stm files for the game's BGMs. I'm rebuilding from a root folder exported from a fresh ISO and I always repack/rebuild the root folder to a custom ISO. I'm also using the latest stable of Dolphin (5.0 x64), too.

Problem is, when the game gets to a point where the custom music I inserted gets to the end of it's loop, it crashes and makes a horrible buzzing noise until I close or kill the process. Any idea of what might be doing this from the replaced music and how I can fix it?

I've narrowed it down maybe, since the custom music .stm(s) I inserted technically work, I can hear them in game, short of the crash/softlock I get. I've taken precautions such as making sure it's stereo, that I include the loop label, 32000Hz, same/smaller file size, 16-bit PCM: but I'm not sure if the game is so fussy about some of those specific details in order to get the custom music working without any crashes or softlocks. I don't think it is for Hz or bitdepth as for requiring 32000Hz or 16-bit PCM but I like being better safe than sorry.

Simple question, I modified Mario's walking animation. But his walking animation, both straight and diagonal, has frames where it shows the original N64's Paper Mario sprite.

Can somebody tell me which files I am missing that add to the walking sprites? Kinda lost here.

Im sorry its late here i would have done it for you but... You need to get tilemolester and see that area of the edited rom if you find a not changed one scroll to it and copy the offset at the bottom right.

Hi! New to the texture modding with Dolphin, I was wondering.. I'm trying to change the textures for Mario's sprites in TTYD. And the head I have for my character is a bit bigger than Mario's

Do any of you know how I can adjust the image so the head fits without messing things up? Also, I haven't tested the sprites yet because I'm away from my desktop that can run the game.

Oh dang nevermind I got it, you can make the canvas larger, the game will still find the right stuff! I just need to put that ear on its own thing, and remove Mario's eyes..

I really need help, None of the Paper Mario 64 editors want to import the Paper Mario 64 rom I have, instead they either say "Invalid Rom File" or "The Rom may be in use by something" and this bothers me because I want to replace Mario's Sprites in Paper Mario 64 with Larry's Sprites from Paper Mario Color Splash (ripped by Inc-Larry of course, not Random Talking Bush because RTB puts it into some huge sprite sheet that is hard to take individual sprites from) https://mega.nz/#!aRZWBC6a!esqDSMAoqCkt8DgbNl6hHTvgTNCugMHSiqTrbgnP6Xg,
since
A. these sprites will be easy to place over Mario's since they are not on a giant sheet.
and
B. One of the main reasons I wanted Larry's Color Splash sprites was for this purpose.

C. Now that I got em, I am ready to do what I wanted to do with them.

D. I am asking for help since the editors are acting up for me.

Hello! I'm new to Paper Mario hacking and honestly I have no idea where to start xD So I figured I'd make a thread asking about the basic necessitates of PM hacking. What tools do I need and where can I get them? Also is there a tutorial somewhere I should watch first?

Currently the necessarites are really nothing (well a slightgly above 2006 standard computer). Only currently some stuff needs hex hacking. Also if you learn ASM you can find stuff and help the comunnity alot
